A: The adopters need to meet the following requirements:

1) Both the couple shall be over age 30;

2) They shall be childless;

3) They shall be capable of rearing and educating the adoptee;

4) They shall suffer no disease medically deemed unsuitable to adopt a child;

5) Both the couple shall agree on the adoption plan;

6) If a single man intends to adopt a baby girl, the age gap between them shall be more than 40 years; and

7) The adoptee shall be an abandoned baby or child under age 14 found in the locality, and his/her biological parents cannot be ascertained or found.
