In order to further promote the friendly exchanges and practical cooperation between China and Myanmar in the field of social welfare, Mr. U Soe Aung, deputy minister of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief & Resettlement of Myanmar, who led a 6-member delegation, visited China at the invitation of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the PRC fromNovember 12 to 16. On November 15 and16, accompanied by people from the general office of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the PRC (Department of International Cooperation), Mr. U Soe Aung and his delegation visited Shanghai to learn about the relevant policies, measures and practices of our bureau in the field of social welfare.

Director Zhu Qinhao took the delegation to Shanghai No. 1 Social Welfare Institute for a visit, and they had an exchange meeting there. At the meeting, the delegation listened to Shanghai's work in the areas of children's welfare, elderly care service and disabled people's welfare, and they expressed their hope to strengthen friendly exchanges and cooperation in relevant fields with Shanghai, so as to jointly promote the further development of social welfare undertakings of the two countries.
