On August 29 and 30, Itano Misako, the executive member of the Council of Asahigawasou led a four-member delegation to Shanghai to discuss the cooperation project for the employment of the disabled in the New World of Public Welfare in Shanghai.

Shi Xiaolin, Director-General of the Bureau, Hua Yuan, Vice Director-General of the Bureau, and Ma Yili, Director of the Committee of Population, Resources and Environment of the Municipal Committee of CPPCC met with the delegation. The two sides discussed the feasibility and the prospective development of the project. The Japanese delegation expressed that they would continue to push forward the project for its early realization.
