On July 11 and 12, Egusa Yasuhiko, Honorary Director-General of Asahigawasou and Itano, Misako, executive member of the Council of Asahigawasou led a delegation to Shanghai. During their visit, the relevant divisions and departments of the Bureau met and exchanged their views with the delegation on the establishment of a forging-related civilian-run non-enterprise unit in Shanghai. At the noon of July 12, authorized by Shi Guanghui, Vice Mayor of Shanghai, Wu Jianrong, Deputy Secretary-General of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government met with Mr. Yasuhiko and Ms. Misako. Shi Xiaolin, Director-General of the Bureau, Hua Yuan, Vice Director-General of the Bureau as well as Ma Yili, Director of the Committee of Population, Resources and Environment of Shanghai Municipal CPPCC were present at the meeting. Wu expressed his appreciation for the years’ contributions by Mr. Yasuhiko for the development of social welfare in Shanghai and his wishes for the strengthening of the communication between the two parties and for creating new ways of cooperation in the fields of elderly care and welfare for the disabled.
