Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission recently released the Shanghai Implementation Plan on Further Promoting the Work of Consumable Goods Trade-in. According to the Plan, Shanghai will mainly support purchasing goods and materials used for decoration of old houses, partial renovation of kitchens and bathrooms, and senior-friendly house renovation. The total subsidy exceeded RMB4 billion. Every customer of senior-friendly equipment can get the subsidy regardless of their age or household registration.  “This is to encourage young people to buy senior-friendly products for their elders”. 20 types of senior-friendly products were covered by this subsidy policy.
