On the afternoon of January 18, Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau held its 2024Q1 work meeting, stressing that in the new year, it should focus on new tasks under new situations and mark a good start for the whole year by acting out the requirements of the municipal Party committee and the municipal government.

The meeting stressed that it should focus on practical work and constantly improve performance. It is necessary to clarify the data of civil affairs service objects in various fields, establish a basic database and ensure timely investigation and dynamic update. It is also imperative to improve work efficiency, strengthen responsibility at all levels, optimize policies and make them more targeted.

The meeting also put forward requirements for relevant work at the beginning of the year: showing greater care for disadvantaged groups; strengthening service awareness and improving the efficiency when responding to citizens’ requirements; emphasizing discipline and rules, and strictly implementing the Party’s eight-point frugality code; ensuring safety by implementing all related management rules and firmly securing the bottom line of safety production.
