Recently, Shanghai officially announced its 2024 practical projects for the people, and 6 tasks led by the civil affairs system were included. Those tasks are: building 4,000 elderly care beds; building 800 beds for disadvantaged and severely disabled people; renovating 3,000 beds for cognitive impairment care; building 30 community elderly canteens; building 30 elderly care homes in rural places; and providing intelligent water meter monitoring services for 8,000 elderly families in need.
