On September 20, Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau organized a meeting to promote the construction of dementia friendly communities in Shanghai.

At the meeting, two local standards, "Requirements for the Setting and Service of Care Units for Cognitive Impairment in Elderly Care Institutions" and "Guidelines for the Construction of Dementia Friendly Communities", as well as the logo and location map of dementia friendly communities in Shanghai were released. In addition, the acceptance review of the first batch of dementia friendly communities in Shanghai and the list of the fifth batch of pilot dementia friendly communities were also made public.
