Based on the current system, Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau expanded and developed the online funeral services, which was officially launched on July 31.

The online "One Stop Services for Funeral" covers the main items and content of funeral services. The close relatives and agents of the deceased may select "One Stop Services for Funeral" on the mobile app "Shui Shen Ban" or the "Government Online-Offline Shanghai" website to enter the "Funeral Service" section, and fill in the relevant information of the applicants and the deceased. After verification, the online application for funeral service will be submitted, and then applicants can select funeral parlors, book vehicles for transporting the remains of the deceased, and reserve halls.

Residents in Shanghai may also dial 962840, the funeral service hotline, or call  funeral parlors to inquire about funeral services.
