On February 27, Shanghai interdepartmental joint meeting on accelerating the development of rehabilitative and assistive device industry was held. Jiang Rui, the convener of the meeting and also Director-general of Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau, attended and addressed the meeting. Shen Min, Deputy Director-general of SCAB, presided over and briefed the meeting. Representatives of 21 member units of the joint meeting joined and shared their experiences at the meeting.

According to the requirements of the conference, policy support shall be further strengthened, and policy measures of various departments in industry, enterprise, technology, talent, and other aspects shall be integrated to produce synergy. Special funds shall be properly used and preference shall be given to qualified rehabilitation device enterprises. Services shall be enhanced to play a role as a cooperation platform by developing promotion catalogs and promoting investment and exchange. Shanghai shall optimize the business environment, proactively provide service, and accelerate the approval process of high-end rehabilitation assistive products. Publicity and promotion shall be carried out to provide a demonstration platform for more outstanding rehabilitation device enterprises.
