Since the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau has attached great importance to the standardized development of the foundations and strived to make all necessary assessments. The number of 3A or higher rated foundations increased from 36 at the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period to 295 at the end of 2022. Among others, the total number of 5A-rated foundations reached 30 and the assessment rate rose to 60%. All this has effectively promoted the standardized and healthy development of foundations in our city and contributed to the role of those foundations in public welfare and charity fields, such as pandemic prevention and control, community governance, rural revitalization, and the construction of five centers.
