On February 23, Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau held the 2023 Work Conference on Funeral and Interment Service. Zeng Qun, Deputy Director-general of SCAB, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

According to Zeng Qun, in 2023, the Bureau shall continue to guarantee funeral services, explore and study the mechanism for appropriate control of the price of cemeteries, and make good arrangements for service guarantee during the Qingming Festival. It will also put emphasis on promoting the revision of the Regulations of Shanghai Municipality on the Administration of Funeral and Interment, preparing a special plan for funeral and interment facilities in the city, upgrading and transforming the one-stop service for procedures to be followed after the death of a citizen, continually advancing the reform of funeral and interment service, and constantly improving the satisfaction of the people.
