Lately, the 2023 Shanghai practical projects for the people were released. The list included 6 tasks led by the civil affairs departments: adding 5,000 elderly care beds; converting 2,000 nursing beds for people with cognitive impairment; building 30 intelligent elderly homes; building 40 new community canteens for the elderly; adding 500 beds for severely disabled people in financial difficulty; and completing age-friendly home renovation involving 5,000 households.
