Local senior residents can get to the elderly activity room of their neighborhood committee for various activities and enjoy the meals at the meal aid service site within 5 minutes, and arrive at the elderly day-care center for professional care and other activities within 15 minutes. At present, Xuhui District has built a "5-15" comprehensive service circle for local senior residents.

In the future, all sub-districts in Xuhui District will continue to improve the layout of comprehensive community service facilities and provide all "four standard types of service” including community canteen, community healthcare service, community cultural and sports service, and community bathing aid service. They will create a "life box" complex in order to provide inclusive and balanced public services covering "the whole population" across each sub-district.
