On June 1, the International Children's Day, Li Qiang, Party Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Committee, paid a cordial visit to the children at Shanghai Children's Home. On behalf of the CPC Shanghai Committee and the municipal government, Li Qiang extended festival greetings to the children across the city and sincere greetings to the workers serving the children. The city leaders also expressed face-to-face gratitude to the front-line staff at Shanghai Children's Home for their lasting commitment to and love for the education and growth of orphaned and disabled children.

Zhuge Yujie, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shanghai Committee and Secretary-general of the CPC Shanghai Committee joined the visit. Zhu Qinhao, Director-general of Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau and Jiang Rui, Deputy Director-general of SCAB also participated in the visit.
