On August 26, Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau (SCAB) organized a special event for rehabilitative and assistive devices, which was one of the series of activities of the Government Open Month. Residents in the city were encouraged to visit the Rehabilitative and Assistive Device Innovation and Experience Center and participate in a salon and other activities.

Under the guidance of Welfare for the Disabled Department of SCAB, the event was co-organized by Shanghai Artificial Limbs Factory and SCP Rehabilitation Aids Industry Service Promotion Center. At the event, Shanghai Artificial Limbs Factory made an exchange on  "Strengthening the Prevention of Disabilities and Promoting the Health of People", the theme of the 2021 National Disability Prevention Day. The organizers updated the progress made in piloting community-based rehabilitation aids rental service and organizing publicity activities for rehabilitation aids in communities. Rehabilitation aids companies introduced the development of the industry and relevant products.
